There could be many reasons why it isn’t running in your local environment. Most of the time it has do with browser security on loading external files locally (javascript, data, etc..). I suggest opening the debug console in your browser to see what errors are being triggered and go from there.

Absolutely you can remove it. That is what I have done for custom implementations. Just check the value of the “d” parameter coming into the onMouseOver and if d == root then exit out of the function.

Hi Sam. No it doesn’t. But you need to make sure your browser permissions are set to allow access to your local file system to load the data file.
